TrueDRY™ DR65 dries and filters the air with MERV 11 filtration, which captures mold spores. This will ensure that air being brought into the home will not cause a mold problem. Why Radon is Dangerous

Radon is a cancer-causing, radioactive gas. It comes from the natural, radioactive breakdown of uranium in soil, rock and water and gets into the air your breathe. You cannot see, smell, or taste it, but the gas is estimated to cause thousands of deaths each year. When breathing in air that contains radon, you can get lung cancer. In fact, the Surgeon General has warned that radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States today. Only smoking causes more lung cancer deaths. Therefore, if you smoke and your home has high radon levels, your risk of lung cancer is especially high.

Radon sometimes moves up through the ground to the air above and into your home through cracks and other holes in the foundation. A negative pressure on the home keeps the radon trapped inside where it can build up. Approximately 50% of the homes in Florida have high radon levels. In most cases, radon comes from building materials such as concrete, and this is especially true for high-rises. If you find radon on the third floor of a high-rise, then more than likely, you will find it on the 20th floor. The only way to know about your home is to test.
